To the international community and other sports enthusiasts at home, the name Alhassan sounds strange and is relatively unknown yet to some especially fans of Akwa United of Akwa Ibom State and Wikki Tourist the name surely rings a bell. The highest scoring midfielder in the league surely and undoubtedly the Frank Lampard of the Nigerian Professional Football League, with ten goals in a league as tough and exhaustive as ours.
It is also worthy to note that the tall and lanky kano raised footballer had had three failed attempts to seek greener pastures outside the country mainly because of injuries, his career has been hampered by so many injuries and in this season he's been injury he has delivered the goods for the promise keepers.

Nicknamed Mu'azam and once called the "new Kanu" by former Sports minister Bolaji Abdullahi. He was part of the Manu Garba team but was dropped after he failed the mandatory MRI scan and he subsequently missed participating in the U-17 world cup where Iheanacho, Isaac Success, Taiwo Awoniyi, and the likes conquered the world. He returned to the team two years later when they graduated to U-20 but after a bit part role at the Africa Youth Championship. He was dropped from the World Cup squad.
