My Sunday Well Spent
On Sunday after church service I was strolling along the ever busy Umuebule Road, in Etche LGA of Rivers state. Just as I approached Luciano bar and Hotel, I noticed two motorcycles with three people on each bike at top speed. Every other vehicle on the road had to make way for them. Just as they got past me, I noticed the last person on the first bike brought out something I couldn't immediately identify and pointed it at the second bike coming after them. Suddenly a bang was heard and everyone along the road or close to the scene scampered for safety; and almost immediately they reconvened again and groups could be seen talking about what had just occurred. I too took cover at first before coming out to get information from others who saw what really happened. Trust Nigerians, some said the Okada man on the second bike was shot on the leg, others said he was shot on the head. From what I gathered, someone was shot at by another.
